The Ender Series consists of six books, beginning with the story, Ender's Game. Mankind is in a war, attacked years before without warning by a new species, the "Buggers". The situation is desperate, and the military command is trying to find the person who can lead Humanity's forces to victory. If they can't find that person, they will do what they must to make one.

Ender's Game is the story of the making of that leader, following Ender from his early identification as a possible commander, through his training.  The qualities necessary to lead the world's forces in the latest invasion are different than anyone has ever had.  The way the enemy thinks is as alien as they are, and the leader will need to be able to adjust to that.

Mr. Card's writing captures your imagination, and makes you feel the feelings of his characters. His venue is believable and the science he projects is credible.
